Why not do full justice to our delicious, artisanal loose-leaf teas, by brewing them in proper ‘ceremonial’ style? It’s easy! Here at teanamu we can provide all the essentials: cups, pitchers or gaiwans, and tea trays, as well as practical utensils such as tea scoops which measure out just the right amount of tea leaf.

Your home will look very sophisticated, with our tiny, elegantly designed, Chinese porcelain tea cups and coasters! Pitchers and gaiwans are essential tools of the trade too: the pitcher lets us decant tea at the precise right time and temperature and with evenness of strength.

The gaiwan is the ideal ‘teapot’ for brewing less- or non-oxidised teas, including any green or white tea, as its porcelain absorbs heat so can’t damage the tea; it also lets tea be viewed while brewing, and can be used as a cup (traditionally using the lid to block the leaves); the lid is cleverly designed to let steam seep out rather than be a tight fit. The bamboo tea tray is the centre of operations, with an ingenious device to store excess water beneath its surface.

Other implements we supply come in a simple tool-set, of scoop, tongs and tea pick, made from beautiful, renewable bamboo.
