Description
Grown on a tea estate on Mountain Jing Mai (景迈山) (濮山 Pú Shan) in Yunnan and harvested in 2018 spring from ancient tea trees that are between 300 to 500 years old.
Mountain Jing Mai is one of the six revered tea mountains in Yunnan. The six mountains are joined together forming a vast and beautiful mountain range.
Most white teas are sun dried and very light rolled by machines before they are dried in a low electrical oven. However, these exquisite leaves from these ancient tea trees are carefully handpicked and left to bath in the warm mountain sun to wither. This is the epitome of pureness.
Do not be fooled by its brisk yellow tea liquor, this 2018 vintage white tea is the wise old gentlemen of white teas. Full of flavour and sweetness. Very smooth.
Hailed locally as the drinking antique, this is one of the few precious teas that we have come across during our 20-year long tea quest.
This tea is worth your while to vintage it but that is if you can resist putting a brew on any time of the day.
